Red Cross Home Fire Preparedness Campaign

With home fires as the biggest disaster threat facing families in the State of Hawaii, the Red Cross has teamed up with the Honolulu Fire Department, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Grainger and other partners to install free smoke alarms in neighborhood homes and talk about home fire safety and prevention. Feeling Safe Being Safe Project

Hawaii’s Feeling Safe Being Safe curriculum and training is a community-based program that helps prepare individuals and neighborhoods for emergencies of all kinds. The Feeling Safe Being Safe training provides a guided step-by-step experience ideal for individuals who live alone, are aging, have a disability or who may need additional support in an emergency.
