Writings on the Wall

The University of Hawai‘i-Mānoa, Center on Disability Studies was awarded a 4 year grant, from the U.S. Department of Education—Office of Special Education Programs, to develop a tiered approach to improve the writing proficiency of 9th grade high school students. The goal of this project was to: to improve the quality of writing instruction, practice, and feedback; to increase the quantity of writing opportunities across content areas; and, to increase the writing proficiency of 9th grade students.
