Who should take this course?
This course is designed for undergraduate students in a variety of disciplines concerned with disability and diversity issues. The course is open to currently enrolled UH students and to non-UH students (via the UH Outreach College).
This course will examine accessibility in technology and web based applications as well as the built environment. It will explore shared public spaces and innovative solutions for inclusive and sustainable community living at home, work, & play. Students examine how communities respond to the needs of people with disabilities using a policy and program planning framework.
Format: This is an asynchronous online class with an optional live class session available weekly on Tuesdays, 1:30pm – 3:00pm HST, August 22th - December 5th
Credits: 3
