CDS and VSA Arts Hawaii Co-Sponsor Poetry as Performance Art Workshop
CDS and VSA Arts Hawaii present a special Performance Art Workshop taught by two world-renowned performance artists: Petra Kuppers & Neil Marcus.
Come and try out your voice, bring your own poems, or work with other disabled poets’ material. We will work with you to perform this poetry: this workshop will have you move and shout, improvise and play! Work in groups to find new ways of bringing words on the page to life in our mouths, on our bodies, in the spaces we share. No experience necessary: neither as a poet nor a performer. All we need is curiosity and a willingness to give it a go! Bring clothes you can move in!
