Disability Mentoring Day in Hawai‘i: October 17, 2007
DMD is a large-scale, broad-based effort to promote career development for students and job seekers with disabilities through hands-on career exploration, job shadowing, and internship or employment opportunities throughout the United States and also abroad. Hosted nationally by the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), and made possible by many generous national corporate and public sponsors, DMD has participants in all 50 states and many international locations. DMD is observed every year on the third Wednesday of October, in conjunction with NDEAM.

Actualizing Self-Determination Aspirations Conference

A conference organized by the Tri-Agency Developmental Disabilities Network (UH Center on Disability Studies, Developmental Disabilities council & Hawaii Disability Rights
Center). Lt. Governor James Aiona Jr. will give opening remarks and US Administration on Developmental Disabilities Commissioner Patricia Morrissey will be our guest speaker,
followed by several panel discussions. Continental Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. Parking at Regal Theater, $3.00 all day. The event is no cost to the first 150 people who
