Project Overview
The Hawai‘i Deaf-Blind Project provides technical assistance to children and youth who are deaf-blind, birth through 21 years of age, and to their families and service providers. Technical assistance may include:
- in-home consultation,
- school consultation,
- family support,
- networking,
- in-services,
- bi-annual statewide trainings,
- referrals to other agencies,
- and resources.
Services may be requested by families of children and youth with deaf-blindness, school personnel, and agencies providing services to children and youth with deaf-blindness.
If you would like to receive free technical assistance for your child or a student who is deaf-blind (has both a vision and hearing loss), please complete and return the Referral Form below to the Hawaii Deaf-Blind Project. Once this information is received, you will be contacted to determine what the specific need is and the best time to schedule the visit.
