@ART for PE@CE
On September 19th, Abled Hawai‘I Artists (AHA)- big Island, sponsored “@ART for PE@CE” at the 3rd Annual World Peace Day at Honoka‘a Town, Hawai‘i. With donated supplies from The Dreaming Zebra Foundation and the Center on Disability Studies, over 100 kids... (both young and young at heart!) celebrated a day of peace through chalk art, face and finger painting. It was so beautiful to see kids feel empowered to freely express their artistic creativity on the street and on themselves!
Mahalo nui loa to The Dreaming Zebra Foundation and the Center on Disability Studies for supporting AHA-Big Island over the last two years in supporting community inclusion for artists with disabilities! Aloha goes out to the people of Honoka‘a Town for hosting this international event, and especially to the Peace Day Parade Committee for putting on this event and the parade the following day.
A very special thanks to Mar Ortaleza for coordinating @ART for PE@CE and his continued support of persons with disabilities on the Big Island of Hawai‘i.
