@ART for PE@CE

On September 19th, 2009 Abled Hawai‘I Artists (AHA)- big Island, sponsored “@ART for PE@CE” at the 3rd Annual World Peace Day at Honoka’a Town, Hawai‘i. With donated supplies from The Dreaming Zebra Foundation and the Center on Disability Studies, over 100 kids... (both young and young at heart!) celebrated a day of peace through chalk art, face and finger painting. Learn more

Abled Hawaii Artists-Big Island (AHA-BI)

On Saturday, July 25th, 2009 Abled Hawaii Artists-Big Island (AHA-BI) held their second annual Big Island AHA Festival at the Prince Kuhio Plaza in Hilo. The AHA Big Island Festival was an huge success in bringing together over 50 artists, performers and community organizations together to celebrate disability awareness, diversity, and the signing of the Americans with Disabilities act. Over 1000 people attended the AHA Festival and enjoyed performances, an art sale, and silent auction fundraiser. Check out some photos from the 2009 Abled Hawai‘i Artists’ Festival
